Who this policy applies to
This privacy policy applies to the Bida mobile application operated by Transverse Company Limited. It explains what information the app handles, why that information is used, and the choices available to users.
Information we collect
Bida may collect information you provide directly when you create an account or update your profile, including your full name, email address, password, phone number, company name, city, region, WhatsApp number, business registration number, tax identification number, and supplier category selections.
The app may also handle content you choose to upload or submit, such as profile photos, quotation attachments, RFQ attachments, chat attachments, and live session cover images.
When you use communication and marketplace features, Bida may process conversation content, participant details, live session information, and records related to RFQs, quotations, tenders, supplier opportunities, and product or promotional listings.
Camera, microphone, and device access
Bida requests camera and microphone access only for features related to live sessions and live participation. These permissions are not used continuously in the background for unrelated purposes.
Bida also uses local device storage and in-app persistence to keep your session state, preferences, and selected access mode available across app restarts.
Information we do not request by default
Bida does not request your contacts list, your precise device location, or your photo library as a blanket permission for general tracking. Location fields shown in the app are text fields that you complete manually when relevant to your business profile, RFQs, or live sessions.
How we use information
We use information handled by Bida to create and manage user accounts, authenticate sign-in, maintain profiles, power marketplace and procurement workflows, support messaging, process RFQs and quotations, manage tenders, enable live sessions, and improve reliability and security.
We may also use information to respond to support requests, investigate abuse or fraud, enforce platform rules, and comply with legal obligations.
How information is shared
Information may be shared with other users only as needed for the features you use, such as supplier-buyer messaging, quotation workflows, RFQ participation, tender collaboration, marketplace listings, and live sessions.
We may also share information with service providers or infrastructure partners that help us host, secure, or operate the service, and where required by law or to protect users, Transverse, or the platform.
Data retention
We retain account, transaction, communication, and uploaded-content records for as long as needed to operate the service, meet contractual and legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce our terms. Local device data such as session preferences may remain on the device until cleared by the user or removed by app uninstall.
Your choices and rights
You may review and update profile information from within the app. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal, security, and operational requirements.
You can decline optional permissions such as camera or microphone access, but some live-session features may not function correctly without them.
Children
Bida is intended for business and professional use and is not designed for children.
Security
Transverse applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled through Bida. No method of transmission or storage is completely risk free, but we work to reduce unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and disclosure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect product, operational, legal, or regulatory changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
